Our Impact
Our Social Impact
At RIFT Social Enterprise we believe in change that lasts. We support people who face barriers to work or stable income, helping them build independence through self-employment, training, and enterprise. Every programme we run, every workbook we create, and each partnership we form is focused on real outcomes for real people.
What Social Impact Means to Us
Social impact is more than just stats. It’s about transformation.
We use recognised frameworks (such as the Social Value Model and TOMs) to make sure the change we deliver is measurable for participants, partners, and communities alike.

Spotlight on WISE: Women into Self-Employment
Launched in early 2023, the WISE Project is a groundbreaking initiative supporting women with convictions to explore self-employment and take control of their futures.
Built with lived
experience
The entire programme, not just the workbook, has been co-created with women in custody, ensuring it truly reflects their needs and perspectives.
Creating a circle of
impact
Every woman supported influences peers, strengthens communities, and contributes to lasting change in prison education and beyond.
Tailored guidance and support
Workshops, 1-to-1 coaching, and practical resources help women build confidence, develop skills, and turn business ideas into actionable plans.
Driving measurable social impact
The programme informs policy and practice, demonstrating how co-created, experience-led initiatives can empower individuals and transform lives.
