When Sade first joined RIFT, she was passionate about her creative venture but unsure about managing taxes, National Insurance, and business planning. With support from her Business Start Up Advisor, Kath, she developed a clear plan, learned how to reach her audience, and gained confidence in her next steps.

Sade shared that living with ADHD made managing the demands of entrepreneurship overwhelming. Our neurodiversity lead, Lucy, provided specialist guidance and practical strategies, helping Sade feel understood and capable. As Sade said, "It’s so validating to hear that I’m not just rubbish at life! Starting my own business made everything worse in terms of me feeling overwhelmed."

Achieving Milestones

With this personalised support, Sade has already sold a large number of tickets for her events and is exploring workshops and merchandise to grow her business further. Reflecting on her journey, she shared, "I feel like being given the resources, being able to chat to you, you referring me to Lucy, I just feel like it's all been mapped out in a way that I can cope with it. Initially, I was like, maybe this is a bad decision for me. Maybe it's not something I'm capable of. Whereas now, it feels achievable. So I'm really grateful, actually, for the journey."
